Renee is a 4th year Clinical Psychology PhD student at PAU. Currently, she is a practicum student at the County of Monterey Children's Behavioral Health FAST Assessment Team, where she provides mental health assessment and therapy services to families involved in the child welfare system. Her research interests include but are not limited to evaluating cultural sensitivity in assessment tools used with forensic populations, the effects of immigration detention on family attachment and mental health, and identifying individual-level protective factors that can help reduce reoffending among incarcerated youth. She also functions as a student statistical consultant for a technology group, i4Health, and has some experience with program evaluation for a community mental health organization, LifeMoves.
